We will be talking about Valentine's Day.

Robbie: Hi Naoyuki. It's almost Valentine's Day! In Japan it's tradition for ladies to give chocolate to men. That's very cool!

Naoyuki: Yeah, how about in Canada?

Robbie: In North America it's custom for the men to make a romantic evening for their girl friend or wife.

Naoyuki: Oh, really? I didn't know that. So..are you going to give the present to your wife?

Robbie: Hmm, that's a good question. This is Japan and it's my birthday on Valentine's Day! So I want chocolates AND a birthday gift!

ナオユキ： うん、カナダはどうなの？

ロビー： 北米では、男性が彼女や奥さんのためにロマンチックな夜を演出するのが慣わしなんだ。

ナオユキ： へー、本当？それは知らなかった。じゃー、、君は奥さんにプレゼントをあげるつもりなの？

ロビー： うーん、良い質問だね。ここは日本だし、バレンタインデーは僕の誕生日なんだよ！だから、チョコレートと誕生日プレゼントが欲しいな！
