We will be talking about comics.


Naoyuki: Do you like Japanese comics?

Caroline: Yes, of course. That's my best Japanese literature!

Naoyuki: Really? Why do you think so?

Caroline: Well, for a number of reasons. One is quite obvious ; because comics are written in hiragana and very easy kanji so I can read and understand, two; they help me to improve my Japanese language and finally I can understand Japanese lifestyle and culture through comics.

Naoyuki: I see. Maybe I should read foreign comics and I will understand their lifestyles and cultures!

今日は漫画について話します。

ナオユキ： 日本の漫画って好き？

カロライン： ええ、もちろん。それは私の中で一番の日本文学よ！

ナオユキ： 本当？何でそう思うの？

カロライン： ええ、たくさんの理由からよ。１つ目は、とても明白なんだけど、漫画は平仮名ととても簡単な漢字で書かれているでしょ、だから私が読んだり、理解したりできるのね。２つ目。漫画は私の日本語を上達させてくれるの。そして最後に、漫画を通じて私は、日本の生活様式や文化を理解することができるのよ。

ナオユキ： なるほど。多分僕は外国の漫画を読んだほうがいいね。そうすれば、僕は彼らの生活様式や文化を理解できるからね！
