花火

We will be talking about fireworks.


David: A few weeks ago I went to watch a firework display in Ebina. We wore yukata and bought lots of beer and snacks, but when we got to Ebina we had only just sat down when the display ended! It lasted about five minutes!

Naoyuki: Five minutes? Why did it finish so early?

David: I have no idea, but I think maybe it's because of the poor state of the economy. There are few companies in Ebina willing to spend money on fireworks this year!

Naoyuki: The recession has even affected fireworks?

David: I wonder how much it costs for one firework in a typical display?

Naoyuki: I don't know how much but it's good to have lots of fireworks to life people's spirits.

David: Maybe in the future For B can sponsor a firework display.

Naoyuki: Of course!

今日は花火について話します。

デーヴィッド： 2,3週間前に、海老名の花火大会を見に行ったんだ。浴衣を着て、たくさんのビールとお菓子を買ってね。でも、海老名に行って、座るとすぐに花火大会が終わっちゃったんだよ！5分しか続かなかったよ！
ナオユキ： 5分？何でそんなに早く終わったの？

デーヴィッド： よく分からないけど、多分経済の調子がよくないからじゃないの。今年は花火にお金を出そうという企業が海老名にはあまりいなかったんだよねー！

ナオユキ： 不況が花火にも影響していたの？

デーヴィッド： 普通花火1発ってどのくらいお金がかかるんだろう？

ナオユキ： どのくらいかは分からないけど、たくさんの花火が人々を元気にさせるんだけどね。
デーヴィッド： 多分将来フォービーが花火のスポンサーになれるんじゃないの。
ナオユキ： もちろん！
