たこ揚げ

We will be talking about kite-flying.
Naoyuki: Kite-flying is traditionally done during the New Year. Have you seen kite-flying this year?

Caroline: Not yet. When will people start flying kites?

Naoyuki: Usually they will start flying them early January.

Caroline: OK, I will watch out for them. Have you done it before?

Naoyuki: Of course ! Though recently there is hardly any space for the activity especially my neighbourhood. However with recent technology, kids could fly the kites on Wii or other games.

Caroline: Wow. Technology can do wonders !
Naoyuki: It's just an idea.

今日はたこ揚げについて話します。

ナオユキ： たこ揚げは、新年に伝統的に行われものなんだ。今年たこ揚げ見た？

カロライン： まだ見てないわ。いつからたこ揚げするの？

ナオユキ： だいたい1月始めからやり始めるよ。

カロライン： 分かったわ、見てみる。あなたはやったことあるの？

ナオユキ： 当たり前だよ！でも最近は、たこ揚げする場所がないんだけどね、特にうちの近所では。でも最新の技術で、子供たちはウィーとか他のゲームで、たこ揚げできるかもね。
カロライン： へー、技術ってすごいことするわねー！
ナオユキ： ただのアイデアだけどね。
