金の自動販売機

We will be talking about an interesting vending machine today.

Frankie: Hey, did you hear about these new gold vending machines?

Naoyuki: What? Why would you make a vending machine out of gold?

Frankie: The vending machines aren't made of gold, they sell gold.

Naoyuki: What? Why would gold be available in a vending machine? That sounds pretty strange.

Frankie: Well, I think people are not so confident in foreign currencies right now, because the world economy is not doing very well. Lots of people would rather invest in gold.

Naoyuki: That's true, but why would you want to buy it from a vending machine? Shouldn't you buy gold in a bank?

Frankie: I guess they're hoping to attract impulse buyers -- people who buy things quickly, just because they want to.

ナオユキ： 何？何で自動販売機を金で作るの？

フランキー： 自動販売機が金でできているんじゃなくて、金を売っているんだよ。

ナオユキ： 何？何で自動販売機で金が買えるの？変な感じだなー。


フランキー： うん、ちょうど今、みんな外貨に自信が持てないんじゃないのかな。だって、世界経済がそんなに良くないからね。多くの人は、金のほうに投資したいんじゃない。

ナオユキ： そうだね。でも、どうして自動販売機で買いたいのかな？銀行で買えばいいんじゃない？

フランキー： 衝動買いのお客さんを狙っているんじゃないのかなー。ただ欲しいから、すぐに買っちゃう人ね。
