LとRの発音

We will be talking about pronunciation of "L" and "R".


Naoyuki: It's difficult for me to pronounce "L" and "R". Do you know the good way to practice the sounds?

John: Yes, some people find both "L" and "R" difficult to pronounce others have problems with just one while still others find it difficult when the both appear in the same sentence. I personally like to practice with nonsense words.

Naoyuki: Nonsense words? What do you mean by that?

John: Nonsense words are groups of letters that can be used to practice pronunciation but that don't make actual words (i.e. lol, lor, rol, ror). There is an excellent tool for building and practicing nonsense word here.

Naoyuki: That seems useful for me. I will practice "L" and "R" first and then try some other difficult sounds.

今日はLとRの発音について話します。

ナオユキ： 僕にとっては、「L」と「R」を発音するのは難しいんだ。「L」と「R」の何か良い練習方法知らない？

ジョン： うん、「L」と「R」の両方を発音するのが難しいって言う人もいるし、１つだけに問題がある人もいるね。でも、後者も両方が１つの文章に出てきたりするとまだ難しく感じたりする。僕個人的には、意味のない言葉で練習するのが好きだね。

ナオユキ： 意味のない言葉？どういう意味？

ジョン： 意味のない言葉は、発音の練習に使える文字のグループだけど、実際の言葉ではないもの（例．lol, lor, rol, ror)。意味のない言葉を作って、練習するすばらしいものがここにあるよ。

ナオユキ： 何か役に立ちそうだね。僕、「L」と「R」を最初に練習して、その後、他の難しい音もやってみるよ。
