カレー

We will be talking about curry.

Naoyuki: Curry is one of the most popular dishes in Japan. I usually eat curry at least once a week. How about you?

Caroline: Curry is actually one of my favorite foods. I like curry because in my country we always dip rice in stew or curry. We never eat plain rice, therefore I must say I LOVE Curry. But, I hardly ever eat curry when I am hungry because the spices burn my stomach.

Naoyuki: So you mean curry is like food in Kenya?

Caroline: Yes. Actually it's the basic food in Kenya. There is no meal that comes without curry on the side.

Naoyuki: I didn't know that. Maybe I like the food in Kenya!

今日はカレーについて話します。

ナオユキ： カレーは日本で人気のある料理の１つなんだ。僕は大抵少なくとも週に１回はカレーを食べるよ。君はどう？

カロライン： カレーは実際私の好きな食べ物の１つよ。私の国ではいつもご飯をシチューかカレーに浸して食べていたの、だからカレーが好きなの。ご飯だけでは絶対食べなかった、だから私、カレーを愛しているって言わないとね。でもお腹が空いているときはほとんど食べない。香辛料が胃を燃やすから。

ナオユキ： ってことは、カレーはケニヤの食べ物みたいってこと？

カロライン： ええ、実際それはケニアの基本的な食べ物ね。カレーが付いていない料理はないのよ。

ナオユキ： 知らなかったー。多分僕はケニアの食べ物が好きだね！
