We will be talking about Dragon Quest.


Naoyuki: There's a new version of dragon quest coming out on the 11th of July. Have you ever played it?

David: Possibly. When I was a kid, I sometimes played role playing games like Final Fantasy, Secrets of Mana and Legends of Zelda. I may also have played Dragon Quest, but I can't really remember. How is it different to Final Fantasy?

Naoyuki: Actually I've never played Final Fantasy. But I think it's basically the same idea...

David: You've never played Final Fantasy? I thought all Japanese kids played that game. Number 7 in the series has a clock to tell you how long you've been playing in total. My clock was about 120 hours.

Naoyuki: I think Dragon Quest has that too. They're so addictive. I wonder how long I'll end up playing this new one...

今日はドラゴンクエストについて話します。

ナオユキ： 7月11日に、ドラゴンクエストの最新版が出たんだ。ドラクエってやったことある？

デーヴィッド： もしかしたら。子供のころ、ファイナルファンタジーや聖剣伝説、ゼルダの伝説のようなロールプレイングゲームは時々やったんだけど。ドラゴンクエストもやったかもしれないなー、でも本当に思い出せない。ファイナルファンタジーとどう違うの？

ナオユキ： 実際、僕はファイナルファンタジーを一度もやったことないんだ。でも、基本的には同じ感じだと思うんだけど。。。

デーヴィッド： ファイナルファンタジー一度もやったことないの？僕日本の子供たちはみんなやったと思ったよ。シリーズの7番目は、合計でどのくらい遊んでいたか時間を教えてくれるんだけど、僕の時間は120時間だったよ。

ナオユキ： ドラゴンクエストもそれあると思うよ。はまっちゃうんだよなー。新しいのは終わるのにどれくらいかかるんだろー。。。
