We will be talking about the space shuttle.

Naoyuki: The space shuttle Discovery successfully lifted off on last Monday and now Japanese astronaut Naoko Yamazaki is in space.

Caroline: Oh, I envy her. I saw the article a while ago in the newspaper. Do you want to go to space?

Naoyuki: Well,,, actually I just want to see other people go to space. Living on earth is comfortable for me... How about you?

Caroline: Me too. I am satisfied with the planet earth. However I would like to hear stories from people who have been to space.

Naoyuki: Yeah, that's right. I hope they will come back without accident and tell us more interesting stories.

今日はスペースシャトルについて話します。

ナオユキ： 先週の月曜日スペースシャトルディスカバリーが、無事打ち上げられたんだ。そして今日本人宇宙飛行士の山崎直子さんが宇宙にいるんだよ。

カロライン： へー、うらやましいわ。少し前にその新聞記事を見たわよ。あなたは宇宙に行きたい？

ナオユキ： うーん、、、実際のところは、ただ誰かが宇宙に行くのを見ていたいね。地球で暮らすのは僕にとっては快適だからね。。。君はどう？

カロライン： 私もよ。地球には満足しているわ。でも、宇宙に行った人たちから話を聞きたいわ。

ナオユキ： うん、そうだね。彼らが無事に帰ってきて、僕たちにもっと面白い話をしてくれることを祈るよ。
