Naoyuki: The Shinkansen also known as "the bullet train" is one of the fastest trains in the world. I heard the Shinkansen technology will be used in Vietnam.

Caroline: Really? Vietnam is lucky then because the bullet train is one of the most convenient means of transport. I used it several times when I was in Kyushu to visit Tokyo.
Naoyuki: Right, the Shinkansen runs at an average speed of 300 kilometers an hour. It will change the way of transportation in Vietnam.

Caroline: Wow ! So it moves at 5km per minute? That's fast ! Incredible. It's funny because while inside it you can't tell that it moves so fast.

Naoyuki: That's so-called law of inertia!

今日は新幹線について話します。
ナオユキ： 新幹線は、「弾丸列車」としても知られているんだけど、世界で最も早い列車の１つなんだ。新幹線の技術が今度ベトナムで使われるって聞いたよ。

カロライン： 本当？じゃーベトナムは運がいいわね。だって、弾丸列車は最も便利な輸送手段の１つだものね。私が九州にいたとき、東京に来るのに何回か使ったわ。

ナオユキ： そうだね、新幹線は平均時速３００キロで走るんだよ。ベトナムの輸送方法を変えるね。

カロライン： へー！じゃあ１分間に５キロ進むの。それは早いわ！信じられない。でもおかしいわね、だって、新幹線の中にいるときは、そんなに早く動いているなんて分からないんだもの。

ナオユキ： いわゆる慣性の法則だね！
