ドラゴンの巣（マネーの虎：イギリス版）

We'll be talking about "Dragon's Den".



David: Last time you mentioned "Mane no Tora". What is it?

Naoyuki: In that programme, there are four or five company presidents, and people who want to borrow money deliver a presentation to them. If the presidents like the person they will give them money, but if they don't they'll verbally abuse the person and he or she goes home with nothing.

David: Sounds a lot like a British programme called "Dragon's Den". It's a similar format. But usually the presidents on "Dragon's Den" want equity in return for the investment.

Naoyuki: "Mane no Tora" spread around the world to 20 countries, so maybe it's the root of "Dragon's Den".

David: Probably so. It's a great idea for a programme.

Naoyuki: My ultimate goal is to become a Dragon.

今日はドラゴンの巣について話します。

デーヴィッド： 前回「マネーの虎」って言ってたけど、何なのそれ？

ナオユキ： その番組では、会社の社長が４，５人出てきて、お金を借りたい人が彼らの前でプレゼンをするんだ。もし社長がその人を気に入ればお金を出し、気に入らなければ、その人たちのことをぼろくそに言うんだよ。そして彼らは何も得られず家に帰っていく。

デーヴィッド： イギリスの「ドラゴンの巣」っていう番組にとても似ているなー。似たような形式だけど、「ドラゴンの巣」の社長たちは、大抵投資の見返りに所有権も要求するんだ。

ナオユキ： 「マネーの虎」は世界20カ国に広まっているというから、多分「ドラゴンの巣」の原形なんじゃないかな。

デーヴィッド： おそらくそうだね。番組としてはとても良いアイデアだよ。

ナオユキ： 僕の最終的な目標はドラゴンになることなんだ。
