花粉症

We will be talking about hay fever.

Naoyuki: The hay fever season has started again this year. I'm suffering from sneezing and eye irritation. How about you, Juliana?

Juliana: Aren`t we lucky that we have 2 seasons in the tropics? It`s quite rare to find hay fever in Kenya.

Naoyuki: Oh, really? I envy you... However you have been in Japan for 3 years, haven't you? You may start to suffer from hay fever this year. Don't your eyes feel itchy recently?

Juliana: Ideally, we are supposed to catch it, but we are fortunate enough not to. When spring starts I usually sneeze when I first get out of the house, this enables me to get used to the different smells.

Naoyuki: I used to be like you 3 years ago...

今日は花粉症について話します。

ナオユキ： 花粉症の季節が今年も来たなー。僕はくしゃみや目の痒みに悩まされているよ。ジュリアナはどう？

ジュリアナ： 熱帯地方では、２つの季節しかないのってついていない？ケニヤで花粉症を見つけるのはとても大変よ。

ナオユキ： え、本当？うらやましいなー。。。でも、君は日本に３年住んでいるよね？今年花粉症になるかもよ。最近目が痒くない？

ジュリアナ： 観念的に言えば花粉症になるんでしょうけど、幸運なことに大丈夫よ。春になると、家を初めに出るとき、大抵くしゃみをするけど、それが違った香りに慣らせてくれるのね。

ナオユキ： 僕も３年前は君と同じだった。。。
