白馬

We will be talking about Hakuba.

Naoyuki: Hakuba is a ski resort town in the northern Japan Alps. Have you ever been to Hakuba?

Caroline: No, I haven't. Which prefecture is it in?

Naoyuki: It is in Nagano prefecture and when I was a university student I went to Happoone to work part-time and it was freezing cold.

Caroline: Oh no !! I am terribly afraid of cold weather. I would like to ski but I wonder if I can withstand the cold. What's the temperature right now?

Naoyuki: Of course it is very cold. The temperature this week is zero degrees. When I was there, we went to the hot spring which is about 15 minutes from the company dormitory. When we got back to the dormitory, my hair was stiff and straight (it froze) because of the cold.
Caroline: Unbelievable !! Please count me out. I will never go there. Please suggest a warmer place...

今日は白馬について話します。

ナオユキ： 白馬は日本の北アルプスにあるスキーリゾートの町なんだけど、行ったことある？

カロライン： いいえ、ないわ。どの県にあるの？

ナオユキ： 長野県にあるよ。大学生の時に、アルバイトをするために八方尾根に行ったんだけど、凍えるほど寒かったよ。

カロライン： いやよー!!　私寒い天気ってすごく怖いのよー。スキーはしたいけど、寒さに耐えられるか分からないわー。今の気温はどのくらい？

ナオユキ： もちろんとても寒いよ。今週の気温はゼロ度だね。僕がそこにいた時、会社の寮から15分くらいのところにある温泉に行ったんだけど、僕の髪は、寒さで硬く真っすぐ（凍っていた）になったよ。
カロライン： 信じられないー!!　私は仲間に入れないで。私絶対そこに行かない。暖かい場所教えてよ。。。
