2010年アジア競技大会

We will be talking about the 2010 Asian Games today.

Frankie: Japan's been doing pretty well this year at the Asian Games, eh?

Naoyuki: I've mostly been paying attention to the soccer matches. Both the men's and women's teams won gold.

Frankie: I saw highlights of Chisato Fukushima on the news. Man, she's fast!

Naoyuki: It says here in the newspaper that she won both the 100m and the 200m races.

Frankie: Hey, check this out! It says here that Japan got a gold medal in roller figure skating.

Naoyuki: What do you mean roller figure skating?

Frankie: It's just like figure skating, but with roller skates!

Naoyuki: Figure skating with roller skates? I've never heard of that before. Is it new?

Frankie: It's not new, but this is the first year that it is an event in the Asian Games. Actually, I used to be on the roller figure skating team back in high school.

Naoyuki: Really?!

Frankie: Just kidding :)

フランキー： 今年のアジア大会で日本は、かなり良くやっているね？

ナオユキ： 僕はほとんどサッカーの試合に注意を払っていたけど。男女ともに金メダル取ったよ。

フランキー： 僕はニュースで、福島千里のハイライト見たけど、ちょっと、彼女早いよ！

ナオユキ： 新聞のここに、彼女は１００メートルと２００メートルに勝ったって書いてあるよ。

フランキー： ちょっと、これ見て！ここに、日本はローラーフィギュアスケートで金メダル取ったって。

ナオユキ： ローラーフィギュアスケートってどういう意味？

フランキー： フィギアスケートみたいなんだけど、ローラースケートを使っているんだよ！

ナオユキ： ローラースケートのフィギュアスケート？僕これまでに聞いたことないよ。新しいの？

フランキー： 新しくはないけど、アジア大会で行われる最初の年なんだ。実際、僕は高校の時、ローラーフィギュアスケートチームにいたんだよ。

ナオユキ： 本当？！

フランキー： 冗談 (^^)
